I’m Yihang Yao, originally from Xi’an, Shaanxi 🇨🇳.
I recently wrapped up my undergraduate studies at Beihang University’s School of Astronautics 🎓, and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s degree at the same institution. My research journey is driven by a fascination with computer vision and multimodal information processing — I love teaching machines to perceive and understand the world through diverse data. 💻🤖
🔬 Research Interests
🤔 My research interests are centered around multimodal information processing, with a focus on how vision and language can be jointly understood and leveraged for real-world tasks. I’m still in the early stages of my graduate studies — so I’m keeping an open mind and excited to explore further!

When I’m not coding or reading papers, you’ll probably find me:
- 🎭 Watching drama and opera – I’m a big fan of live performances.
- 🏸 Playing badminton – always up for a friendly match.
- 🥾 Hiking – exploring trails and enjoying the outdoors.
- ✈️ Traveling – because there’s no better way to learn than to experience new places and cultures.
That’s me — equally at home in front of a screen and out on the road. 😄
